Born in Edinburgh, I started my working life as an office assistant in a manufacturing jewellers’, where I met my husband John. I gained experience in the trade, and worked my way up to become head of the stone section of the business matching stones for setting, and assigning work to the workshop.

Between breaks with our 4 children I have helped John with his business in Edinburgh and also ran my own business for several years. Since coming to New Zealand I have worked in the care sector which I found very rewarding. I am now helping with the day to day running of Dunedin Goldsmiths and feel very much at home in Dunedin
